There’s a lot of information going around about Corona virus, some of it true, almost all of it terrifying but there seems to be one VITAL piece of information that almost no one is talking about and in this video I want to share it with you.
Our community is constantly being told that they have little to no control over their health. They're told that health comes from a pill, a potion and a healthy dose of good luck...
...and this simply is not true.
This level of powerless is what is underpinning a significant amount of the fear that is rapidly growing in our communities.
It's time to step up.
I was reminded of an article that I would often share at my stress workshop...."Psychological Stress and Susceptibly To The Common Cold".
In this study 394 healthy subjects volunteered to have 1 of 5 different viruses "dropped" into their noses. One of the viruses that was being tested was a Corona virus (not the current one but a Corona virus none the less).
Before the drops, each of the subjects were assessed for psychological stress. I found 3 things fascinating from this paper
This paper is one of several that show the relationship between lifestyle choices, immune function and our tolerance to sickness.
The vital piece of information that is seemingly missed or ignored is that there are things that you and your patients can start to do right now to create an environment in your body that’s much more likely to have have health thrive rather than Corona virus:
These are all simple strategies that are proven to help boost your immune system and improve your body's ability to either prevent or cope with sickness.
Our communities need to be reminded that they're more in control of their health than they've been led to believe.
Now is the time for you to step up as the "health thought leader" that you've always wanted to be .
What your community is begging for now more than ever is leadership, direction and clear action steps.
Friends it's time to serve.
Thanks for all you do.
Keep saving lives.
