Ok we all know that making videos is a great way to share your message with your community, to attract high quality new patients but unfortunately for us, it’s not as simple as simple as just standing if front of the camera and telling your audience about your amazing service.

In todays video I going to share with you the three questions that underpin a successful patient attracting video.

For those of us in the health industry — all signs continue to  point to increased preferences for video.

In 2017, video represents 74% of all Internet traffic and this is projected to increase to 80% in the next 2 years.

So if your not already incorporating video into your marketing than nows the time to start.

However, If your video marketing is to be a success then you must have a  deeper understanding about what our prospective patients want from our videos

Regardless of the content you’re creating or the industry that you’re in, your video must answer these 3 questions.

1.Do I Trust You.

The foundation of all great marketing is trust and when it comes to building trust nothing does it faster than video, if a picture is worth a thousands words then videos are worth millions.

Remember the quality of your video will reflect the quality of your service so take the time to plan your video.

Now this doesn’t mean that we need to spend thousands on expensive equipment.

Click here to watch a video where I shared how to shoot high quality videos on just your phone.

Think about the structure of your video, the five part video script is a great place to start and lastly don’t try to be someone that your not, there’s an audience for everyone and authenticity is a key factor that drives trust.

The second question that your video must answer is:

2.Do you understand me

It’s been said that when you try and communicate to everyone you end up communicating to no one.

Your video content must show that you understand your patients problems and pain points.

You’ll drastically increase the likelihood of your audience feeling understood when you stop trying to make videos for everyone and instead you focus on a particular niche.

The simple truth is…a new mother has different frustrations, fears and desires and needs to hear a different message from an athlete… who needs a different message from construction worker…who needs a different message to a hairdresser…

Let me be clear…. this doesn’t mean that you spend the rest of your days in practice just looking after just one group of patients.

However If we are to break through the noise, the goal of our videos is to have our potential patient saying  “that’s for me” after watching just the introduction.

This won’t happen if you’re trying to communicate to everyone.

The final question that needs to be answered in each of your videos is:

3. Can you help me.

Too many times I see health practitioners websites, marketing and videos talking all about them.

Sadly our audience doesn’t care about us nearly as much as what we think.

Stop talking about where you studied, the awards you’ve won and start delivering real world solutions to your patients in your videos.

If your talking with new mums who have back pain then share some tips on how they can hold and change their baby without aggravating their back.

If you’re a dentist then next time your at the supermarket then you could show us through the foods that have hidden sugar that are rotting our teeth.

…and don’t hold back be sure to share your best stuff.

When we help our potential patients it also dramatically boost trust which as i said earlier is the foundation of all great marketing.

So if you wanting to increase the results that you get with the videos then be sure to ask your self  does my video answer these three questions

  1. Do I trust you
  2. Do you understand me
  3. Can you help me

The more of these questions you answer and the better you do it the more effective your videos will be at attracting and retaining high quality new patients.

Ok, if you’ve got questions about how you can use video to build trust, expertise and authority so you can position yourself as the go to doc in your community then be sure to ask them down below.

As always, remember this…the good video you make will always out perform than perfect one you don’t.

Until next time.

Thanks for all you do and  keep savings lives.
